Uludağ Gazoz

Uludağ Gazoz...what a catchy name for a soda! This is a Turkish soda, that takes my breath away. The label information is really sparse, but it has a strong sense of fresh fruit. Its sweetness lies in the background of the overall impression of a fresh soda without too much sugar. Hard to describe, easy to enjoy. A great soda.

Cherry Tree Cola

This is another fantastic soda from the amazing organic brewery at Fentimans. Sometimes I just get carried away by Fentimans - and quite often because of their Cherry Tree Cola. The name suggests a cherry taste, but it is far more than that. It is actually a complicated mix of cola, ginger and all sorts of herbs. In the beginning it is almost like your tastebuds cannot comprehend all the different colours in the taste painting but after a short while, it captures everything that is great in this poor world. Oh, and it is definitely a great soda.

Sparkling Pink Lemonade Corina

This French soda has a taste of old-fashioned candy from the past. Like the sweets I used to eat while on family vacation in France in the 1980´s. Makes your mind wander until the taste leaves your taste buds and you crave for more. The feelings lasts, though. Definitely a great soda.

Fentimans Dandelion & Burdock

This soda is interesting because of its strong flower taste. Sounds pretty bad, huh?. It´s not! In fact is very good. Once again it is the botanically brewing people at Fentimans, who deliver this strangely tasty drink. What makes the notion flower good is the role of the ginger as a counter taste, that infects the overall flower with a bitter wave. It also has a nice lasting after taste. It takes 7 days to brew, but it only takes seconds top take you to a better place with no wars and only love. Therefore, it qualifies as a great soda.

Sparkling Rubi Con Passion

This soda is made of pure juice and has no artificial sweeteners. The result is much more charming, that you would think at first. It has a strong taste of natural passion fruit. Usually passion fruit is used as a small part in the big play - the invisible colour in the art painting. This soda shows, that it can play a lead role. The first impression is good but it also has a nice bitter after taste, that lasts. All in all a great soda.

Faxe Kondi

If you should pick just one Danish-produced soda, that deserves to be on this list, it has to be Faxe Kondi. A legendary soda that outclasses most other sporty drinks in taste and freshness. In the 1980s professional footballers like Jesper Olsen were used to advertise the soda as a sports drink. It is however, first and foremost, a soda for utter enjoyment and relaxation. In the summertime when the sun dries your veins and your body becomes heavy meat, the dextrose in Faxe Kondi will soothes your day. The taste of sparkling lime calms your soul puts a big fat smile on your sweat-drenced face. A legendary, fantastic and oh so great soda.

Fentimans Curiosity Cola

The people at Fentimans might be a little offended, that I use the word "soda" for their fine soft drinks. They take great pride in their botanical brewing process and ingredients, and the fact that they produce truly unique drinks. The word curiosity fits quite well here since so far from a usual cola. Herbal extracts and a very-well amount of ginger makes the taste full-bodied and strong. When tasting this, all your senses wake up from a long slumber call same-old-everyday-boring-world, and new colours emerge. This really is a great soda.
